Pre algebra grade 4 and 5 crocodile game - Think back to when you were studying math yourself – early on, equations were simple and involved only numbers. The day that letters started to be included in math equations was likely a dark one for you. Your kids might relate to that right now. So it takes some patience to introduce them to the algebraic concept of variables.
On its own, however, variables are an easy problem; in pre-algebra, kids have to find the missing value to make an equation valid. It can seem like a guessing game, but with study and practice, your kids can dismantle the simple pre-algebra addition questions online that come in our crocodile game here.
Instructions
The objective of this game is super straightforward. Roll the die, move the frog, and reach their home territory at the bottom-right corner of the pond. The player must also uncover the missing value in one of many missing variable problems to pass through safely.
The frog is beset on all sides by animals such as crocodiles, flamingos and ducks. The scaly crocs are on the hunt, and they’re attracted to bad math answers. Failing to answer a question properly will cause them to chase after you and drive the frog back by two whole spaces.
Landing on a crocodile’s exposed head is asking for trouble, and sends you directly back to your initial spot. The flamingo and duck move you by two spaces – the former backward, the latter forward.
Kids only have a dozen turns to get through the whole map, so they better answer as many problems correctly as they can. Have fun!
