Telling time game online | Crocodile game - Telling time from an analog clock is a skill that only gets better through constant practice – after all, it’s a habit that your kids or students will be using for the entire lives. It can be a little tedious to drill kids on reading the time, however, and many children prefer some form of stimulation to help them learn more often.
It’ll be helpful to break down clock-reading lessons to its basic elements. As children start learning how clocks provide the time, they’ll need to be introduced to reading the hour hand. Asking your kids for the time and listening to them reply back with the hour is already a significant success. From such a milestone, introducing them to the minute and second hands will be much more convenient.
This game can be a fun diversion for kids to learn the basics of telling time to the hour.
Instructions
This board game-style activity involves kids helping their frog character navigate through obstacles in the pond to make it home.
Rolling the die on the top-left corner decides how many steps the frog takes in a turn.
Landing on the treacherous crocodiles hiding in the pond will send the frog back to the starting point, while flamingos will repel the player two steps backward.
On the other hand, landing on good-natured ducks will help the player move an additional two steps forward.
The players have 11 turns to make it home. On each turn, they’ll be confronted with a clock problem in which they must tell the time to the hour correctly to proceed safely.
