Convert fractions to decimals 4th grade game - Hey, Math wizards! Wow, we salute everyone for making it this far! This series of Math games is still not ending because we still have a lot to present to you! Let’s now proceed on the next game-- conversions of fractions to decimals. It may sound a little bit overwhelming since we are dealing with two complex topics, but hey, worry less, because we added a little “fun” for you to not get bored and tired while doing this game! But before we jump in, let’s talk first about how we convert fractions to decimals. It’s actually just a walk in a park. Just divide the numerator (top) of the fraction by the denominator (bottom), and read off the answer! You can have the answer in just a second when you use a calculator, but the long division method is a good method too! Here’s how you do it: First, write the denominator outside the divisor bracket and the numerator inside of it. Second, above the division bracket, place a zero and a decimal point after it. After this, you also need to put a decimal after the numerator inside of the bracket and write zero after it. In the long division method, you can see the decimal points as non-existing and act like you’re just dividing the denominator into the numerator with a zero at the end of the last digit. Third, now we divide the denominator with the numerator, same with the process of division with and without remainders. Fourth, add another 0 to the one inside the division bracket for you to allow to drop down another 0 to the right of what has left when you subtract the two numbers. Repeat the process until you have reached a difference of 0. You can use either of the two methods given depending on where you are comfortable with!
