Snakes and ladders even and odd numbers game
If prime and composite is a characteristic of numbers that determine if their factors are limited to only 2 or their factors are more than 2, then odd and even is another characteristic that we can use to determine and differentiate numbers. As you probably already know, a prime number is a number with only 2 factors. Most of the prime numbers are odd. Now, what makes a number considered as an odd number? It’s simple, because odd numbers are numbers that cannot be divided into 2 equal parts. If you try to divide them in half, there would be a .5 and that is what makes prime numbers prime. They don’t have an exact whole number when divided in half, while even numbers are the opposite. Even numbers are mostly the ones that are considered composite. As what was mentioned, even numbers are the opposite of odd numbers, meaning if you divide a number by 2, and it has a quotient of an exact whole number, then it is an even number. In short, numbers that have decimals when divided by 2 are called odd numbers, while numbers that don’t have decimals once divided by 2 are called even numbers.
