Snakes and ladders prime or composite number game
Prime and composite numbers are two opposite characteristics of numbers. Numbers that are considered to be prime numbers are digits with only 2 factors and nothing more, just the number itself and 1. Like what is mentioned previously, prime and composite are opposite therefore, if prime numbers only have 2 factors, then composite numbers have more than 2 factors. If you are going to determine a number whether it is a prime or composite number, you will notice that most prime numbers are odd numbers. That is because an odd number is a number that doesn’t have any definite or whole answer when it’s divided into two. Meaning, they have decimals, thus they don’t have any other factors except for 1 and themselves. But this doesn’t apply to all odd numbers, hence not all odd numbers are prime. To prove this, let’s have 15 as an example. 15 is an odd number but is not considered as prime, it is because 15 is a product of 3 times 5, meaning it has more than 2 factors making it not eligible to be called a prime number. To summarize, numbers with more than 2 factors are not to be considered as prime but as a composite number.
