Area of a rectangle and square - War Game Online - Oftentimes, area problems are introduced using squares and rectangles. You can easily find the areas of these parallelograms by measuring their base and height and multiplying the values together. If your child is quick with multiplication problems, they’re likely to find no issue with this topic.
That said, practice makes perfect. Having to solve a slew of these problems with pen and paper can be a tiring slog for your child, however. You can spice up their learning time with our area of a square and rectangle war game, designed to appeal to kids who enjoy Army-related topics.
Instructions
Your child takes the rein of an elite soldier returning from deep behind enemy lines. Their objective is to sneak past the enemy’s defenses to be debriefed at the friendly safehouse at the lower right portion of the screen.
To move the soldier, simply roll the shining red die. Just like classic Chutes and Ladders, the player can be sent back a few steps if they land on enemies like masked Special Forces operators, bomb traps, or commandos. And if they run into a tank? Oof, it’s back to the starting zone.
On each turn, the player has to solve an area of squares and rectangles problem to outwit the enemy. Otherwise, they get repelled back by two spaces.
